rosa, that just updated. 29 in san jose, 37 san francisco and 34 degrees in livermore. freeze warnings up for most of the bay area except for san francisco, the lows into the 20s and 30s again, then i think we'll see one more night of freezing temperature then after that it should start to moderate into wednesday. in the meantime though the temperatures will be chilly by the afternoon. we'll have plenty of sunshine all day long but grab a jacket. you may need it, only 47 for a high in concord, 48 livermore, 52 in san jose, and about 52 degrees in san francisco. that's a look at weather guys, back to you. >>> people were shivering throughout the bay area this weekend. this ice rink in walnut creek was a popular place despite the chilly weather. >> dressed up, bundled, three layers down. >> good day to come ice skating? >> it's a great day to come ice skating. >> what do you think of the cold weather? >> it's so cold. >> i'm freezing, but it's awesome. >> it's very cold but it's amazing to skate on this ice. >> it's so cold. there's ice everywhere. >> well they love it. even with the sun

. from our roof camera, it's still out there and here are the 20s. plenty of them from santa rosa and napa. upper 20s novato. by this time tomorrow we could see the numbers drop into the mid-30s. yesterday we had much milder temperatures in the 40s. milder, that's relative, right? so we are much, much cooler. it's going to take probably until the middle of the week or the end of the week before we get out of those freezing morning low temperatures. i'll show you that in a moment. as we get going through the afternoon, plenty of sunshine. another chilly day today. a few 50s, mainly in the 40s. and a warming trend by monday. you will notice a difference out there. we are looking at the air quality with very little mixing in the north bay. hazy out there. elsewhere a. >> better but no woodburning throughout the by today. our satellite and radar composite, much of the nation gripped in a huge cold spell and the west coast in particular with high pressure building in. that cool, northerly flow continues to pump that cool air from canada down into the bay area. so the morning lows, 20s

are looking at 28 in santa rosa and 26 in napa. the current temperature in chicago is 38 degrees. we are running much colder than what they are dealing with right now. 27 in fairfield and 33 in livermore. here is what the windchill factor plays into things and this is what it really feels like. a little breeze and fairfield is feeling like 20 degrees. 21 in napa. we are talking windchill here. 25 in novato. the view from the so tro tower camera as we look toward a sparkling san francisco night. freeze rn whattings in effect for all areas except san francisco. record lows are likely in the morning. chilly in the afternoon. really that continues for friday as well with a wintry mix on friday afternoon and going into saturday morning. we will be talking about low snow levels tomorrow morning 19 in napa as i mentioned and 21 in santa rosa. it will be icy cold in some parts of the bay area. 26 concord and 30 san jose and 32 palo alto and half moon bay. you will need all of your heavy, thick winter clothes, 24 degrees in fairfield and 25 in livermore. as you look here, the cold air mass is
